Home Fix Computers are an established, local computer repair and sales company, offering both home and business users services; ranging from mobile on-site computer/laptop repairs and support, through to computer and peripheral sales.
Based on Roseberry Court, Stokesley Business Park (North Yorkshire), we’ve been supporting the local community since 2005. During that time we’ve fast become one of the areas favourite computer repair companies as a result of offering great service, friendly advice and true value for money.
Today, we’ve grown a lot since we first started – employing more staff, having larger premises and running a number of vans – but our original values haven’t changed one bit. It’s our customers that have allowed the business to grow as it has, so for that we’re grateful and we’ll always make sure we return the favour. We’re committed to making sure our customers get the service they deserve; yesterday, today and tomorrow.
We’ve strived to be the best we can, and it’s great to see that our efforts have helped thousands of customers over the years in many different ways.
OUR HISTORY
We’re proud of our history and growth, so we’d love to share it with you, as without it and our customers, we wouldn’t still be here looking after our customers.
The Early Days
Home Fix Computers was originally operated by a single Technician – Steven – as a purely mobile service aimed solely at domestic customers (home users) carrying out repairs, upgrades and installations in customer’s homes after being made redundant as a result of a large computer retail chain going into Administration back in February 2005.
With the company’s customer base and needs growing at a faster than anticipated pace, early 2007 saw the need to employ an additional Technician. With this came the purchase of a couple of company-owned commercial vans – covered with Home Fix Computers livery – increasing our repair capacity and also improving our logistics, as well as helping to get us noticed when driving around! We also found ourselves being requested to work on Business systems more often, so as a result found ourselves extending our focus to both Home and Small Business customers.
The Bit In The Middle
A year or so later then saw the opening of what remains as our current base – a workshop industrial unit based on the Terry Dicken Industrial Estate, Stokesley – as well as the opening of a small Retail Counter where customers could purchase parts, accessories, place orders for new computers, and also provide a drop-off and collection point for customers to bring their computers into, should that be more convenient than arranging an on-site appointment.
This all proved very successful and once again saw the company develop further with the addition of additional staff being added to our Repair Team, and also us doubling the size of our premises when we also took over the unit next door to us. This enabled us to have a larger workshop, a new-look, larger Showroom stocking nearly everything a computer user could need to purchase, and the addition of a small meeting room where we could hold one-to-one tuition sessions and hold meetings with our website design clients.
The Present Day
Since then, Home Fix Computers has grown from strength to strength despite the turbulent economic climate where many other companies have been and gone; testament to the fact that our services are valued, relied upon and essential to our customers. We now have a number of full-time Technicians heading up our Team, as well as also having a number of company vehicles proudly boasting the Home Fix Computers branding, all being used by our Team of on-site technicians for any call-outs.
We’ve also moved to larger premises just off of Stokesley Business Park (Roseberry Court) which is helping us deal with ever increasing workloads and also employ a number of trainee Apprentices, allowing us to help the youth of today learn a trade.
